Aschool is a cloud-based, multi-tenant school management platform we designed and built to take school administration off spreadsheets and paper registers. It brings fee vouchers, exams and report cards, attendance, admissions and parent communication into one system of record — with a native mobile app for parents, students and teachers.
What We Built
The platform runs on a true multi-tenant architecture: every school or school group is an isolated tenant, so records, users and settings never cross over, while a school group can still run several campuses under one account. On top of that sit four role-based web portals — Admin, Teacher, Student and Parent — and a native Flutter app for iOS and Android.
- Fees & vouchers: bulk voucher generation by class or section, automatic late fines and waivers, sibling and merit concessions, partial payments with running balances, and per-head payment breakdowns.
- Exams & results: fast marks entry for teachers, automatic ranks and percentages, custom report card layouts, and a controlled announcement gate so results stay hidden until the school publishes them.
- Communication: 12 event-triggered notifications (absences, result declarations, fee reminders and more) delivered by in-app push, SMS and email.
- Admissions & records: a drag-and-drop ID card designer with bulk PDF export, student promotion workflows and certificate issuance logs.
- Mobile app: offline-first with local SQLite caching and background sync, FCM push alerts, multi-child switching for parents, and attendance and homework tools for teachers.
The Challenge
Most schools we spoke with were juggling handwritten fee challans, separate spreadsheets for results, and class WhatsApp groups for notices — the same student entered three different ways, fee disputes with no payment history, and parents finding out about absences days later. The goal was one platform that a small school office could adopt quickly, that keeps every school’s data strictly separate, and that puts the right information in front of parents in real time.
Result
A complete SaaS product that lets a school run a full term of fee collection, exams and parent communication from one dashboard, with isolated tenant data, role-based access for every stakeholder, and a native app that keeps parents informed the moment attendance is marked, a voucher is paid or results are published.
